Nestled in the lush forests of Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a captivating natural phenomenon unfolds each June - the synchronized blinking of millions of fireflies. For a fleeting two-week period, this magical display illuminates the darkness, as the forests glow with pulsing orbs of amber light, blinking in perfect unison. For the last two years, I’ve explored this mystical event, capturing its ethereal beauty in a small group of images. The following gallery offers a glimpse into this annual light show, and is a humbling reminder of the natural world's capacity to inspire awe.
